Our 2026 Colleague Survey Results: Supportive, Caring, Rewarding

Every year, we ask everyone at BelleVie - from our Wellbeing Support Workers to the leadership team, across our teams in the North East, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire - to tell us honestly what it's like to work here.

The 2026 results are in, and we're sharing them here because we believe that if you're thinking about joining BelleVie, or trusting us with the care of someone you love, you deserve to know how the people who work here actually feel.

This Year's Results

  • An Employee Net Promoter Score (eNPS) of +51 - more than double the UK healthcare average of 20%

  • An average score of 5.1 out of 6 across all survey questions

  • A 53% response rate across all our teams - higher than most previous years

What is an eNPS, and Why Does Ours Matter?

The Employee Net Promoter Score measures how likely people are to recommend their organisation as a place to work. It's a good indicator of engagement, of whether people intend to stay, and of whether they'd encourage friends to apply.

A 2026 study of more than 500,000 UK employees found the average eNPS within the healthcare sector is just +20. Ours is +51, more than two and a half times the sector average, and 19 points above the benchmark across all sectors, not just care.

In a sector where recruitment and retention are famously difficult, we think that number says something important about doing care differently.

Word cloud from BelleVie's 2026 colleague survey, with 'compassionate', 'caring' and 'supportive' the most-used words
When asked to describe BelleVie in three words, colleagues chose compassionate, caring, supportive and honest more than any others.

Three Words to Describe BelleVie

We asked colleagues to sum up BelleVie in three words. The words that came up again and again? Supportive. Caring. Rewarding. Closely followed by compassionate, friendly, flexible, and teamwork.

Nobody said "paperwork", which we're choosing to take as a win.

One colleague put it simply: BelleVie is a great company, and you can see that reflected in how happy the people we support are.

What We're Working On

An honest survey deserves an honest response, so here's what our colleagues told us could be better - and what we're doing about it:

Training and development. Colleagues asked for clearer pathways for learning, qualifications and career progression. We have introduced apprenticeships and have invested in "Train the trainer" training so that we can support more Wellbeing Support Workers to take on generic health tasks from District Nurses. We have listened, and rolling these out further is a priority for the year ahead.

Strengthening Our Self-Managing Teams. Self-managing teams are at the heart of how BelleVie works, and colleagues had thoughtful suggestions on how to refine that in practice. We're acting on them.

And one thing we're genuinely proud of: last year, the most common feedback by far was about cover and rotas. This year, it was raised just twice. When our colleagues speak, we listen - and things change.

Fancy Working Somewhere That Feels Like This?

If "supportive, caring and rewarding" sounds like the kind of place you'd like to work, we'd love to hear from you. We're growing across Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Northumberland, and we're always looking for brilliant people who want to do care differently.
