Once again we joined the Care Workers Charity in celebrating Professional Care Workers’ Week, coming together to celebrate the incredible contribution of our wonderful support workers and care workers across the country, who provide such vital support every single day.
While we joined several sessions organised by the Care Workers’ Charity, focusing on areas as diverse as the future of adult social care, Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) in care, and mental and physical wellbeing in care, we also organised our own programme for our much appreciated Wellbeing Support Workers!
To celebrate our colleagues we hosted a special awards show, recognising outstanding contributions, dedication, and compassion within our care teams. It was a great evening, and a wonderful opportunity to shine a light on the amazing individuals who go above and beyond every day.
We organised a wellbeing at work session with Oxfordshire’s Mental Health and Wellbeing Hub. This session focused on staying well at work, work life balance, wellness at work plans and things you can do if you notice your mental health being impacted.
We also shared a series of videos filmed by our wellbeing partner Ify covering mental and physical wellbeing, with tips on how to relax and recharge.
As a small token of thanks we funded coffee & cake for our support workers!
To close the week, we joined the national Wear It Orange campaign in solidarity with care workers everywhere. Our team proudly donned orange to raise awareness and highlight the importance of valuing and supporting those in care roles.
As well as celebrating our Support Workers, the week gave us the chance to reflect on the vital role care professionals play every day - and to show our heartfelt appreciation for all that they do.
Looking forward to next year already!
